Today was the day!!!

Ok gang, the day is here, not only is it my friend Torbian's birthday, but it's time for my hair to be cut for Lock of Love!!!! 10"!!!!! YIKES!!! Even if it would not have measured 10", it HAD to be cut!!
Here is a before of my hair:

Here are some during pictures....warning, this is NOT for the faint of heart. I really thought I would cry, but, I did put on my big girl panties this morning and didn't!!! Although, my face may not look that way! Can you say Pippi Longstocking!!!

And there they are....the hair that USED to be attached to my head! Kathy sure looks like she had too good of a time doing this cut!

Ok, that was the before, here is the after...after color, cut.....hope it's an improvement!

I tried to take a picture of myself for a front view, but that didn't work out real well, you'll ahve to just wait to see the "new me" in person!!! :)

It's ok, not that it's bad, just going to take some getting used to. I really DO like the color, just have to get used to the length and get used to really "doing" my hair again! No more ponytails for a while! Thank goodness!!!

Ok, one other item of interest, last evening I finished my Fall Mystery Shawl knit! WOW, I really, really love it!!! What do you think? This is a mystery shawl knit along from a web site: http://www.goddessknits.com/ There is a winter knit along getting ready to kick off Dec. 1, so go to the web site and take a look. All we know is it will a triangle shawl with a winter theme.

I'll have to get a better picture in the day light!!

Pool Pics

Hi Everyone:
Well, as you can see I'm not a frequesnt poster, in fact, it took me awhile to find my blog again since my first post, but here I am with new, updated pictures of "the boys". I'll try to do better in keeping things updated.
Fletch enjoying the sun and time in the pool! LOVES to have his ball with him on his raft.

Remy (little guy) and Gabe on the other hand, wants NOTHING to do with the pool and stay about as far away as they can!!

Remy does go in the pool, as he has no real choice when I put him in on the raft, but Gabe.....well, he can hurt ya if you try!!! Not purposly, but you deserve it if you try to put this big boy into the pool...he HATES it!!

My first blog post

Here it is, a cool gloomy day in South Central PA, even Fletch and Gabe are taking advantage of a day to just kick back and get some extra winks! However Remy decided he wanted to play, but it doesn't take much to tired him out.
Let me introduce "the boys" Gabe is the oldest. He's 5 and is our more timid boy. We don't know what else he is mixed with other than shephard, but that's ok. We got him when he was 9 months old and were his 3rd home. He had some "issues" but has really come out of his shell. His eyebrows are so very expressive and give him such character.
Fletch is our funny boy. He is a white shephard who LOVES the pool!!!!! We got him at 3 months old and he is pretty much the alpha dog, although there are times that Gabe has to put him in his place, but for the most part, he is the king. He's the baby of the bunch, but the king.
Remy is my step-daughter's dog who came to live with us in 2006. We never thought we'd fall in love so hard for a little lap type dog, but WOW, we've fallen hard!!! What a sweetie! Remy is Shitzu/Yorkie mix (Sukie) teacup version. He weighs all but 4 lbs. The big dogs LOVE him and certainly are his protectors when the neighbor dog comes over for a visit!

As for me, I love to knit or crochet, it really doesn't matter to me which one I do. I learned to crochet in 4th grade from my Aunt Edna. I dabbled in crocheting over the years, but really got back into it in 1999. Since then I have learned to knit and have been seen very infrequently since that without a hook or stick in my hand. I teach both crafts and love to pass along the knowledge to anyone who will give me their time.
Crocheting doilies is one of my main passions, I do love the beautiful fine work and I feel it's a lost art in some respects. As for knitting, I don't really care what it is, I'll knit it. Socks are alot of fun and I NEVER thought that those words would come out of my mouth!!!! But I truly am hooked on socks! I use the 2 cicular needles method and find it work so very smoothly and comfortably, however, I'll teach whatever method anyone wants to learn.
